Standards for data exchange with Suppliers

Efficient and transparent data exchange constitutes the foundation of cooperation between gas market participants. Accordingly, we provide market participants, in particular Distribution Service Users (ZUD) and Cooperating System Operators (OSW), with standardised channels for electronic data exchange.
The primary method of data exchange is the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport – EDIFACT) standard, which enables the automatic, secure, and market-compliant exchange of documents and operational information.

For ZUDs and OSWs who do not have systems supporting EDI communication, we offer two alternative data exchange standards:
  • eBOK – A user-friendly portal enabling document handling and data downloading in an intuitive manner accessible via a web browser.
  • SFTP – A secure file exchange channel enabling data downloading in a simple and stable manner, independent of the user's systems.
All standards, both EDI and alternative forms of data exchange, allow for the execution of key processes, such as, inter alia:
  • submission of Single Distribution Orders (PZD) (both single and bulk),
  • submission of complaints,
  • downloading of billing data, including reports (HRD, HRW, HRN),
  • downloading of the current Bulk Demand Requests (ZZZ),
  • downloading of meter reading data,
  • handling of Nominations and Renominations,
  • handling of transport forecasts.
Each of the standards has been designed to ensure transparency, accessibility, and full compliance with market requirements. The implementation or updating of individual standards depends on the scope of functionalities provided by the DSO and takes place in accordance with the IT system implementation schedule.
