A graduate of the Faculty of Management and Marketing at the University of Podlasie in Siedlce.

He earned a postgraduate degree – Master of Business – from the Faculty of Management at the Warsaw University of Business as well as finishing the postgraduate programme ‘Gas transport and gas energy’ at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

He completed a number of specialised training courses and workshops on technical and technological solutions used in the gas industry.

In 2016, he was an RES advisor for the Ministry of Energy.

He started working at Zakład Gazowniczy in Mińsk Mazowiecki in 2016. He gained professional experience as the Director of the Gas Plant in Mińsk Mazowiecki, and then as Manager of the Gas Plant in Siedlce.

From 2018 to 2020 he was the President of the Management Board of GAZ sp. z o.o.

He has the title of 1st-degree Mining Director.

On 4 January 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.

Statement by Mr. Robert Więckowski, dated January 4, 2021:

Mr. Robert Więckowski, Chairman of the Management Board at PSG Sp. z o.o., declares that he is currently also a Member of the Supervisory Board of Tomma Diagnostyka Obrazowa S.A.

A graduate of the Faculties of Mechanical and Power Engineering and Environmental Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology, he completed post-graduate studies in Management and Marketing at the Wrocław University of Technology and in Gas Engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. He earned a degree in Project Management from the Warsaw School of Economics and from the Executive MBA studies organized by the Gdańsk Foundation for Management Development in cooperation with the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises Aix-Marseille. He is licensed to design and manage work in the field of gas systems and networks, and he has a PRINCE2 Practitioner certificate.

He has extensive professional experience in the operation of energy facilities. He has been involved in the gas industry for over 25 years. Initially as a Designer, then as the Manager of the Design Studio at GAZOPROJEKT SA, he has participated in designing the most crucial investments in the industry, including the Transit Gas Pipeline System, gas storage facilities in Mogilno and Wierzchowice, transit gas compressor stations in Hołowczyce, Jeleniów, Krzywa, Kotów, and Załęcz, the largest gas hubs, and several dozen gas stations.

After moving to the PGNiG SA headquarters, he participated in major strategic projects for the diversification of gas supplies to Poland, such as the construction of the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście and the Poland–Denmark Baltic Pipe connection.

In recent years, he has been associated with TSO GAZ-SYSTEM SA, where he was responsible for the development of the transmission system, planning new investment programs and projects, and creating long-term development plans in response to the needs of the developing gas market in Poland. At the same time, he has served as Deputy Director of the National Gas Dispatching Office.

Decorated with the Bronze Cross of Merit and numerous industry decorations, he holds the title of 2nd degree Mining Director. He is a member of the Scientific and Technical Association of Engineers and Technicians of the Oil and Gas Industry.

On October 1, 2018, he was appointed a Member of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, and on August 21, 2019 a Member of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa for technical matters and network maintenance. On July 1, 2020, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa. On January 4, 2021, he was appointed Member of the Board for Development & Investment.

He is a graduate of the University of Insurance and Banking in Warsaw and of Bournemouth University, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Financial Services.

Over the years, he has participated in the formulation and implementation of business strategies in such areas as finance, ICT and Internet services, commercialization, and investment services on the real estate market. He has many years’ experience in the supervision and management of business entities and the design and implementation of organizational structures and operating procedures in these areas.

From 2016 to 2019, he was a Member of the Management Board for Finance at Polski Holding Nieruchomości SA. From 2014 to 2016, he was the Chairman of the Management Board of MaNa Solid Invest sp. z o.o, and earlier, 2013–2016, at Nask 4Innovation sp. z o.o.

From 2010 to 2012, at PGE Energia Jądrowa SA/EJ 1 sp. z o.o., he held the position of Financial Adviser; prior to that, from 2009 to 2011, he was the Director of the Investment Office and a member of the Risk Assessment Committee at Polskie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń SA.

He is a graduate of full-time MA studies at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Rzeszów University of Technology and post-graduate studies at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Faculty of Oil and Gas Drilling “Gas Transport and Distribution” (2000) and “Polish Oil and Gas Industry in Economic Consolidation with the European Union” (2010). He has a professional background which authorizes him to perform independent functions as a designer and construction and works manager in the installation and engineering specialty in gas installations and networks.

He has completed many training programs on the use of new technologies in the gas industry. He has a diploma in Management Responsibilities and Market Economy. A graduate of MBA studies organized by Collegium Humanum,

he has been involved in the gas industry since 1991, initially as a designer and supervision inspector. He has held managerial positions since 2000. On August 16, 2016, he took the position of Director of the Gas Works in Jasło, and on January 1, 2017, the position of Director of the Gas Works Branch in Jasło.

From October 2, 2017, he was a Member of the Management Board at Polska Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o., from February 18, 2018 he was acting Chairman of the Management Board at Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, and then from August 21, 2019 to December 27, 2019, he was the Chairman of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o.

Under his leadership, the company launched one of the largest, most important programs in its history, i.e., the Accelerated Investments in the Polish Gas Network, which was announced on October 11, 2018 in Halinów by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki.

He initiated many legislative changes for the gas industry—including the operation of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa—particularly legal solutions in the form of a special act introduced to the Act on Investments in the scope of the LNG regasification terminal in Świnoujście.

He was a co-author of process and competence concepts to improve the functioning of the organization.

Under his management, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o. received numerous awards: Nowy Impuls awarded by Magazyn Gospodarczy Nowy Impuls and the website WNP.PL, 2nd prize in the 4th Visible Museum competition for its Virtual Gas Museum project, and the Wprost Eagles award for a company from the Masovian Province, among others.

He has extensive experience in project management and the construction and operation of gas networks, LPG stations, and gas compressor stations. He is a member of the qualification commission for building licenses at the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers in Rzeszów and a member of the qualification commission for energy licenses.

He has been decorated with numerous industry and state awards, e.g., the Bronze Cross from the President of the Republic of Poland with for services to the state, and the Gold Medal for many years of service.

Since October 15, 2019, he has held the title of 3rd Degree General Mining Director.

He is a Member of the Scientific and Technical Association of Engineers and Technicians of the Oil and Gas Industry and the Polish Association of Sanitary Engineers and Technicians.
