The discussion held by the Chamber of the Natural Gas Industry was also attended by Dr Arkadiusz Sekściński, Vice President for Development at PGNiG S.A., Jarosław Maślany, Vice President for Operations and Member of the Management Board at PGNiG Termika S.A., Aneta Korda Burza, Director of the Gaz-System Laboratories Division, Dr Jakub Kupecki, Head of the Hydrogen Technologies Centre at the Institute of Power Engineering, and Dr Jacek Jaworski, Deputy Director for Gas of the Oil and Gas Institute at the National Research Institute.

The panel discussed issues related to energy security, greening of gas, and expanding the production of both biomethane and hydrogen.

“Many experts believe that RES and biofuels are the future. However, it is important to realize that the biomethane deployment program is in short supply. Therefore, we need projects that will reimburse the cost of creating such connections.. It is also necessary to conduct further research on the influence of the mixture of natural gas with hydrogen on gas networks. On our initiative, a laboratory is being set up in Mława, where we are going to test the influence of additives on pipe welding, said Robert Więckowski, President of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
