PSG strengthens security for Siemiatycze residents

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has reopened the gas plant in Siemiatycze after a break of more than eight years. As a result, the company is improving the safety of area residents. The event was attended by Robert Więckowski, Chairman of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
The decision to close the gas plant in Siemiatycze was made in early 2015. The new management of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa decided that it was a bad decision and withdrew its intention to sell the building. In 2017, a gas facility was opened in the city, which was upgraded to a gas plant this year.

“For nearly a year and a half now, the word security has been so popular throughout Poland, and especially here in Podlaskie Voivodeship. Polska Spółka Gazownictwa seeks to respond to this fundamental need of residents in areas related to our operations. With the reopening of the gas plant in the fourth quarter of this year, we will launch a three-shift Gas Emergency Service in Siemiatycze, which will increase the speed of its response in Siemiatycze County and increase the level of safety for residents”, said Robert Więckowski, Chairman of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.

The expansion of the Gas Emergency Service is not the only benefit of reopening the gas plant. From now on, residents of Siemiatycze and the surrounding area will be able to handle all matters related to gas distribution on the spot without the need to travel to Białystok, which is nearly 100 km away.
