PSG has completed a project to modernise dispatch communications
– PSG employees are ready 24/7/365 to intervene in case of reports of possible risks related to the gas network and gas installation. Gas Emergency Service brigades operate at 174 Gas Stations and 47 Gas Facilities located throughout the country, interacting with Gas Dispatch Centres and local services – police, firefighters and paramedics. We intervene to improve safety and ensure continuity of supply – said Robert Więckowski, CEO of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
PSG is continually investing in the development of this area of operations – a project to modernise dispatch communications has just been completed. A unified and modern call handling system has been implemented in all Gas Dispatch units, with a view to service the 992 emergency line through a specially developed application. This increased the level of reliability and continuity of the emergency line, especially in the event of a large number of calls or failure of telecommunications infrastructure elements.
– The introduction of this improvement will allow 992 callers not only to report a fault, but also, in the event of a mass failure, to receive automatic information. Thanks to the implementation of this solution, PSG is prepared to manage an unexpectedly large volume of calls to the 992 emergency number almost immediately, ensuring adequate service – added the CEO of PSG.
Gas Emergency Service makes more than 130,000 interventions every year, averaging more than 350 trips per day.
