- receive a properly and completely executed service together with the required documentation,
- invoke the certification in accordance with its scope,
- copy certification documents in their entirety,
- invoke the certification in the media, in a manner consistent with MTL requirements,
- report complaints about the activities of the MTL,
- appeal against decisions of the MTL,
- protect proprietary rights and to not disclose to other parties any information submitted to MTL regarding the certified product and the applicant, except as provided by law,
- apply for an extension of certificate validity,
- apply for modification, extension, limitation, or suspension of the certificate,
- receive information from MTL on planned changes regarding certification requirements.
Conformity assessment and product certification
- conformity assessment of gas meter converters on the basis of Directive 2014/32/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council, implemented by the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment of 2 June 2016 on requirements for measuring instruments (Journal of Laws of 2016, item 815), module B and F.
- evaluation of the gas meter converter calculator as part of a complete converter based on WELMEC Guide 8.8: 2017 “Guide on the General and Administrative Aspects of the Voluntary System of Modular Evaluation of Measuring instruments.”
MTL is a PCA-accredited product certification body. Accreditation number AC 196.
MTL has testing and calibration accreditations used in the conformity assessment process.
LPB shall, upon request, provide information on the rules and procedures for granting, maintaining, extending or limiting the scope, suspending, revoking, or refusing certification. In addition, MTL provides:
- information about the validity of a particular certification,
- procedure for handling complaints and appeals,
- description of rights and obligations of applicants for conformity assessment and customers,
- list of certified products,
- register of certificates and permits issued/suspended/withdrawn by MTL,
- requirements and restrictions on use and ways to invoke the certificate held.
- The aforementioned information can be obtained at the MTL office or by e-mail, or conventional mail.
- provide the necessary documentation detailed in the application and to cooperate during the conformity assessment process,
- deliver to MTL headquarters and pick up the equipment subject to conformity assessment at its own expense and risk,
- pay a fee for the completed service,
- use a current certificate,
- inform the MTL of any fundamental changes affecting the fulfilment of the product certification requirements,
- meet the requirements specified in the certification programme, relating to the use of the Notified Body’s identification number,
- cease invoking the certificate after its suspension or revocation.
