We have already installed 800,000 eGazomierz devices – the next stage of the project achieved

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has completed another important stage of the eGazomierz project. We have already installed over 800,000 gas meters with remote reading across the country, consistently developing the smart distribution infrastructure.

The eGazomierz project is a strategic initiative by Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, aimed at replacing traditional devices with modern, smart gas meters. As part of the project, over 1.38 million gas meters are to be replaced for customers using natural gas in households.

The new devices are equipped with technology which enables remote reading of gas consumption. This makes it possible to:
  • reduce the need for meter readers visits,
  • streamline customer service processes,
  • enhance customer comfort and safety,
  • speed up and automate the exchange of meter readings.
The project is co-financed by the National Recovery Plan, which supports digitalisation and implementation of innovative technologies in the energy sector.

The replacement of gas meters is a part of a broader strategy to modernise the distribution infrastructure and build the foundations for a smart gas network in Poland.
