The President of the Energy Regulatory Office has approved the gas distribution tariff for 2026
The President of the Energy Regulatory Office, by Decision No. DRG.DRG-2.4212.22.2025.AIK of 17 December 2025, approved the new Tariff No. 14 for gas distribution services provided by Polska Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Tarnów. The new tariff has been approved for the period until 31 December 2026. It is worth noting that the distribution tariffs will fall by an average of around 1.7% next year.
“I am pleased to share good news with our customers and partners today. First of all, I would like to thank the President and the entire Energy Regulatory Office team for the efficient and responsible management of the tariff-setting process, which ensured that our tariff was set with due diligence and with respect for interests of the consumers,” emphasises Szymon Paweł Moś, the President of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa. “The reduction in tariff rates was possible thanks to consistent work throughout the year on cost efficiency within the company, as well as the implementation of investments aimed at maximising distribution volumes. Another factor helping to limit the pressure on increasing the distribution tariffs is our active efforts to secure public funding for the investments,” explains the President.
“Why is this important? By implementing a very extensive investment programme – over PLN 3 billion this year – we ensure that the costs of the energy transition, modernisation and expansion are reflected as little as possible in the tariff,” adds the President. In total, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has already secured over PLN 1.2 billion under the FEnIKS programme and nearly PLN 400 million from the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO). The company is seeking a further three funding agreements under the FEnIKS programme.
The decision of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office concerns the distribution tariffs of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, i.e. the costs of maintaining the gas infrastructure used to supply gas to end users. It is worth noting that the tariff of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa also takes the higher costs of the transmission service provided by OGP GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. into account.
As a result, bills for end users in the distribution sector will not increase during the current heating season.
