PSG’s investment project will help reduce smog in yet another region of Małopolska
Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has completed the first stage of the Białka – Skawica – Zawoja gasification. Thanks to this project, residents of the municipalities of Maków Podhalański and Zawoja will be able to breathe cleaner air later this year. The event marking the end of this stage of construction was attended,, among others, by Łukasz Kmita, Governor of Małopolskie Voivodeship, and Ireneusz Krupa, Member of the Board for Development and Investment of PSG.
As part of the completed stage of the project, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa built nearly 19 km of network, providing access to gas for the residents of Białka and Skawica. In order to start supplying gas to new customers as soon as possible, the newly built gas network was fed from a mobile CNG station.
“This project demonstrates that Polska Spółka Gazownictwa is an efficient company that also undertakes more demanding projects. Taking into account the geology or the specifics of the site, the completion of the project in such a place is much more difficult. Therefore, I want to express my tremendous thanks to both the management and all the employees of the Gasworks Branch in Kraków for their daily efforts. The first phase of the project, which so many doubted several years ago, is officially completed today”, said Ireneusz Krupa, Member of the Board for Development and Investment of PSG.
In subsequent phases of this project, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa will build nearly 6.5 km of gas mains. In total, the company will invest more than PLN 16 million in activities supporting smog elimination in these areas.
