The objective of this initiative is to develop solutions that can stimulate the development of the Polish biomethane market. The planned activities are intended to develop the biomethane production market and increase the position of the biogas sector in the energy market. In addition, the project is expected to strengten the position of domestic enterprises in the full supply chain. Apart from Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, the agreement was also signed by representatives of government administration, investors, entities participating in the supply chain for the biogas and biomethane sector, organisations from the business and financial sectors, and members of the academic community.
“The Agreement on Cooperation for the Development of Biogas and Biomethane Sector provides a number of solutions that help drive the energy transformation of our country. As the national gas distribution system operator, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa wants to be an active participant in the planned joint actions intended to stimulate the development of this segment of the RES market. I am convinced that we can join forces to successfully introduce technologies already available in Western Europe and make gas green,” said Robert Więckowski, President of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
