PSG invests total of PLN 2.5 million in the development of a gas network in Osowiec
Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has begun its next investment in Osowiec, in the commune of Żabia Wola. As a part of the initiated activities, the company will construct nearly 6 km of gas network. Participants in the event initiating the next phase of this investment included Mr Robert Więckowski, CEO of the PSG Management Board, as well as Mr Marian Żołyniak and Mr Piotr Staroń, members of the Management Board.
‘Polska Spółka Gazownictwa is one of the first companies that I have visited as part of my project, “The family friendly company”. I am glad that this employer, which looks after its employees and their families, also executes such investments that enable the development of small towns and villages, thereby guaranteeing a comfortable life for families living in those areas’, said Ms Barbara Socha, undersecretary of the Ministry of Family and Social Policy.
Polska Spółka Gazownictwa will invest over PLN 800 thousand in the new investment phase that has been initiated. When this investment is completed, nearly all inhabitants of Osowiec, that is, several hundred recipients, will have access to gas.
‘Our inspiration is the need to ensure access to gas for as many Polish people as possible. Areas with a gas network develop at a much faster pace. It is an incentive not only for investors, but also for inhabitants, who are more willing to move to such locations. Not only is natural gas the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel, it also contributes to the comfort of use and savings for people using it’, added Mr Robert Więckowski, CEO of the Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Management Board.
Currently, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa also executes tasks associated with the development of a gas network in places located the Żabia Wola commune, including Zaręby, Ciepłe, Jastrzębnik, and Słubica. Nearly 17 km of gas grid in total will be constructed as a part of those investments.
‘I am very happy that this investment has begun. The first customer has already signed her agreement with Polska Spółka Gazownictwa today and will be the first to have a gas connection constructed. I would like to invite all inhabitants to submit applications for connection to the gas grid. As such, you will be able to use less expensive gas fuel and breathe much purer air’, concluded Piotr Rybka, head of the Żabia Wola commune.
