PSG invests in state-of-the-art technology to reduce methane emissions

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa (PSG) presented two innovative projects at the conference "Technologies for the Gas Sector on the Threshold of Change" organised by the Gas Chamber of Commerce. The first is a device for safely carrying out work on gas pipelines without having to shut them down. The second is a system for accurate diagnosis of equipment at petrol stations. Both projects were funded by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management under the programme "Just Transition. Innovations for the Environment" programme.

As part of the European Union's new financial perspectives for 2021-2027, PSG is implementing a number of projects to support green transformation and climate action. The company also benefits from nationally funded programmes. These include the two innovative projects mentioned above, for which financing agreements were signed on 28 October 2024.

- The value of both projects exceeds PLN 66 million, of which more than PLN 41 million comes from NFOŚiGW funds. The hermetic sealing project, which will enable work to be carried out without releasing gas into the atmosphere, is worth more than PLN 38 million. The diagnostic project, on the other hand, is worth more than PLN 28 million, said Grzegorz Wielgus, Director of the PSG Development Department, during the conference.
