In Podlaskie Voivodeship in 2016, out of 118 municipalities, only 24 had access to natural gas. Over the past seven years, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has gasified another 21 municipalities, an increase in the level of gasification of nearly 90 percent.

“This gasification is one of many we are completing this year in Podlaskie Voivodeship. Until recently, this region was seen as a blank spot on the gas map of Poland. This is now changing. Thank you very much to the employees of the Gasworks Branch in Bialystok for their efforts and commitment. Access to gas fuel means cleaner air, the possibility of a better life for residents, and development for the municipality”, said Robert Więckowski, Chairman of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.

As part of the project, PSG also built nearly 8.5 km of gas pipeline, to which 170 households (or about 600 residents), public buildings, and local businesses can connect.
