PSG at GAZTERM 2026 – a voice in the debate on the energy transition

For many years, the GAZTERM conference has been one of the key forums for dialogue on the future of the gas market, infrastructure security and the challenges of the energy transition. During the opening session of GAZTERM 2026, Szymon Paweł Moś, Chairman of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, took the floor, highlighting the role of gas as a stable pillar of the evolving energy system.
The PSG Chairman’s speech focused on the responsibilities of a critical infrastructure operator and the need to respond proactively to the challenges of the transition – through investment as well as organisational and market changes. The CEO emphasised that security of supply must go hand in hand with a readiness to implement new solutions.

"Gas remains a transitional and stabilising fuel today – without which the energy transition simply will not take place. As the Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, we build on a tradition of reliability, safety and stability of supply, but we are aware that this predictability alone can become a comfort zone from which we must learn to step out. That is why we are not passively waiting for systemic solutions – over the last two years, we have changed our approach to the transition, drawn up a network absorption capacity map and actively launched the market. Similarly, in the area of local content – over 90 per cent of our contractors are companies with Polish capital, and 93 per cent meet the domestic content criteria – but we have gone further, offering, amongst other things, reverse factoring and tangible financial support. Even with projects that previously seemed impossible – such as the mass replacement of gas meters with modern ‘smart’ devices, of which we have now replaced over a million – we have shown that it is possible to think outside the box. In a rapidly changing world, one thing is key: not to rest on our laurels and to respond to new market challenges every time,” said the CEO.

PSG’s participation in the GAZTERM 2026 conference reaffirmed the company’s commitment to dialogue on the future of the gas market and its responsible approach to the energy transition, based on security, innovation and cooperation with the market.
