Polska Spółka Gazownictwa won the title of Innovation Leader 2021
On Wednesday, 17 November 2021, during the third edition of the Innovation Code conference, Innovation Leaders 2021 according to GS1 Poland were announced. The Large Enterprise category winner is Polska Spółka Gazownictwa. The awards were granted by an independent committee composed of experts and industry authorities.
The competition honours the most innovative implementations of GS1 global standards, i.e. unique 22-digit codes most often used in trade and logistics on a daily basis. Polska Spółka Gazownictwa was recognized for the implementation of the numbering of gas delivery points.
“Thanks to the changes, the gas meter identification system, covering approximately 7.4 million customers we serve every day, was unified and streamlined. This will have an impact on the automation of our process of gas meter reading and will accelerate new investments,” emphasised Robert Więckowski, President of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
International networks and representatives of the e-commerce sector entered the competition in the third edition of the contest. Paweł Pernal, Deputy Director of the ICT Department accepted the award on behalf of the Management Board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
