Polska Spółka Gazownictwa begins gasification of Żelków and Żelków-Kolonia
On Thursday, 15 September, during a press briefing, the first shovel ceremony was held for the construction of the gas pipeline. It will provide gas to the residents of Żelków and Żelków-Kolonia. Polska Spółka Gazownictwa is the investor of the pipeline.
“The growing gas network in the Siedlce region provides a great satisfaction. It is part of the accessibility programme to equalise urban and rural living conditions. Access to gas is also an advantage for the municipality, as it positively impacts economic development and provides an opportunity to attract new investors. For this reason, I would like to thank Polska Spółka Gazownictwa very much for implementing this investment”, said Krzysztof Tchórzewski, MP, in his ninth Sejm term.
For many years, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, one of Europe's largest Distribution System Operators, has been planning new investments in such a way as to develop the gas network evenly throughout the country.
“Approximately 11 km of distribution network will be built as part of the project, and at least 420 properties will gain direct access to the gas network. Potential consumers include local businesses and key customers such as the school in Żelkowo. The design and construction of the gas pipeline was a huge challenge; it involved many hours of meetings and public consultations. Today we have successfully completed this stage and can start work”, announced Robert Więckowski, President of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
