Over 1.1 million eGazomierz devices already installed

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has reached another significant milestone in the implementation of the eGazomierz project. Over 1.1 million smart gas meters, enabling remote reading of meter data, have now been installed across Poland.
This is clear evidence of the efficient and consistent implementation of one of the largest modernisation projects in the gas distribution sector in Poland.

The eGazomierz project involves replacing over 1.38 million traditional bellows-type gas meters at customers in tariff group 3. These modern devices enable:
  • a reduction in the need for physical meter readings,
  • faster access to meter data,
  • more effective detection of any irregularities and faults.
  • The project also contributes to improving the quality of customer service and reducing the number of complaints relating to billing.
The project is scheduled for completion in December 2026. The replacements are being carried out by specialist contractors with the appropriate licences.
