One million eGazomierz devices already installed!

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa has reached an important milestone in the implementation of the eGazomierz project. Over one million smart gas meters, enabling remote reading of meter data, have now been installed across Poland.
Reaching this level also means that the minimum requirements for funding the project under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO) have been met.

The eGazomierz project involves the replacement of a total of over 1.38 million traditional bellows-type gas meters at customers classified in tariff group 3. The roll-out of these modern devices reduces the reliance on manual meter reading and provides faster access to data, including information that may indicate potential irregularities or faults.

The project’s implementation also leads to improved customer service and a reduction in the number of complaints regarding gas consumption.

The project is due to be completed by December 2026 at the latest. The replacements are being carried out by external contractors holding the relevant energy sector licences.
