Attention! Scammers are active!
Most often, it is elderly people living alone who fall prey to scams. That is why it is so important to talk to our relatives: parents, grandparents, or other family members who are elderly, and to make them realise what dangers they may be exposed to.
In order not to be deceived, both on the occasion of the replacement of a gas meter and on a day-to-day basis, it is important to remember a few rules:
- The employees, and the external companies working on commission of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa, during the replacement of gas meters, nor in any other situation, DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DIRECTLY CHARGE CUSTOMERS ANY FEES.
- The employees of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa and external companies cooperating with PSG always carry IDs that entitle them to represent the company, and they are required to show them.
- Good manners dictate that a visit should be informed about in advance, in the form of displaying in a visible spot on the building a notification about the date on which gas meters will be replaced, or arranging the replacement in advance directly with the gas consumer.
- The employees of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa do not provide services in the scope of device and gas installation inspections inside buildings. In accordance with applicable law, the owner or administrator of the building is responsible for the technical condition of the indoor installation.
- In case of any doubts, contact the building manager or the nearest gasworks. You can also call the Polish nationwide telephone number +48 22 444 33 33, where you can verify gasworks employees and the operations they carry out.
- Any attempted scams should be immediately reported to the police.
