Issuing connection conditions to the gas network or information about the possibility of being connected to the gas network is free of charge and is not an obligation to conclude a connection contract.

Documents required to receive the connection conditions:
  • A completed application for specifying the conditions for being connected to the gas network for a customer who will receive high-methane natural gas in amounts no greater than 10 m3/h or nitrogen-rich natural gas in amounts no greater than 25 m3/h (Connection Groups A and B, Subgroup I). This amount is adequate for cooking meals and heating a single-family house. The application is available in Downloads below. There you can also download a template document to help you complete the application correctly.
  • If you wish to check whether a property you are planning to buy can be supplied with gas, submit an application for determining the possibility of being connected to the gas network or an application for specifying the conditions for being connected, and indicate on the application that “this application concerns the possibility of connecting to the gas network”. Applications are available in Downloads below. There you can download a template document to help you complete the application correctly.
  • A development plan or a rough sketch specifying the location of the property to be connected in relation to the existing gas network and the location of neighboring facilities It can be an informative map for planning purposes at a scale of 1:500, 1:1000, or 1:2000 which depicts the current state of the plot’s boundaries. Mark the proposed location of the gas cabinet on the map.
  • If the property already has a gas connection, there is no need to attach a development plan or a site map to the application.
  • If the contract is to be signed outside the Connection Portal on your behalf by a third party or on behalf of a business by someone who is not authorized in the National Court Register, also provide the original copy of a power of attorney for signing a gas network connection contract or a copy certified as a true copy by a person of public trust (e.g., a notary, counselor, or attorney-at-law), or an unconfirmed copy, if the power of attorney was granted by a notary deed.

Thoroughly fill out the application, providing all of the required information, and attach the above-mentioned documents; this will guarantee that the application will be processed within 30 days of submitting the complete application.

Submit your application using the Connection Portal without leaving your home. The portal will guide you through the entire connection process and keep you informed about the connection status via text messages or e-mail notifications.
If there are technical or economic conditions for the supply of fuel gas to the property you wish to connect, we will issue conditions for being connected to the gas network. They will include information about, for example:
  • the connection point of your gas system to the gas network,
  • the technical parameters of the gas connection,
  • the minimum and maximum pressure for the supply and receipt of fuel gas,
  • requirements for the measuring system and its placement,
  • the connected power, and
  • the point where the ownership of our gas network and your systems is separated.

If you select the option to sign a connection contract in the application to provide conditions or declare the planned date of gas delivery within 12 months of submission, we will attach a draft connection contract to the connection conditions.

In the connection conditions we issue, we will also specify the date they become invalid. This deadline enables the a gas network connection contract to be concluded (if necessary), and in the case of the construction or expansion of a gas system, allows it to be designed and a building permit to be acquired or a construction work notice to be submitted (if a building permit is not required, but a notice is). If you fail to conclude a contract or to acquire the necessary permit within this timeframe, it will be necessary to re-apply for the conditions for connecting to the gas network to be specified. The connection conditions may only be changed by submitting a new application for specifying connection conditions.

The connection conditions will be sent to you via the Connection Portal. You can download them in PDF format or print them out.

If you want to know more about the terms of connection, ask a question in the chat or use the Contact Form. We will answer all your questions.

If you do not apply to us to conclude a connection contract within 30 days of receiving the conditions for connecting to the gas network, and at the same time:
  • some conditions for connecting to the distribution network have been defined and they would require the same technical capacity of the distribution system to be used
  • or some conditions for connecting to the gas network have been specified and relate to an area that coincides territorially in whole or in part,
then we conclude gas network connection contracts taking into account the order in which connection contracts signed by customers are received, depending on the existing technical conditions (e.g., available capacity of the distribution system).
We will prepare a draft gas network connection contract for you and send it to you via the Connection Portal. You can download it in PDF format or print it out.

The gas network connection contract specifies the rights and obligations of the parties, including:
  • the date of connection,
  • the connection fee and the rules way it is calculated,
  • the place where the ownership of the distribution network and your system are separated,
  • the scope of work necessary to make the connection,
  • the technical requirements for the location of the gas meter measuring system and its parameters,
  • conditions for making land available to us in order to construct or expand the network as necessary for the connection,
  • the expected date of signing the fuel gas sale contract,
  • the connected power, and
  • our and your liability for failure to comply with the terms of the connection contract.

The template contract for connecting to the gas network is available in Downloads below.

In the correspondence, we will specify the draft contract expiry date. Please sign the contract within the specified period. For your convenience, you can sign the contract electronically via the Connection Portal.

A signed gas network connection contract is the basis for us and for you to start the design, construction, and assembly work. Beginning on the date the contract is signed, we reserve capacity in the distribution system according to the conditions for connecting to the gas network.

If you want to know more about the terms of connection, ask a question in the chat or use the Contact Form. We will answer all your questions.

The connection fee is a flat fee calculated according to the rules set out in the Tariff of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa sp. z o.o. and approved by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. The connection fee is calculated individually and depends on the connection length, the connection group, the connection capacity, and any non-standard elements, for example.

The connection fee does not represent the cost of creating the connection. This is a flat fee. It may be adjusted slightly if the length of the connection under construction changes; such a change will be communicated immediately. Additionally, the client covers the costs of designing and building the gas system.

The connection fee is based on the issued invoice and is only due after we have signed the contract for connecting to the gas network. The exception is when the connection does not apply to consumers. If you are not a consumer, after signing the gas network connection contract, you must pay 50% of the fee within 14 days of receiving the pro forma invoice. Detailed rules regarding the payment date for the connection fee are specified in the gas network connection contract.

The cost of connection includes the connection fee, resulting from the current Tariff, and costs related to the design and construction of a gas system on your property.

It is our responsibility to build a gas connection to your property in accordance with the provisions and the date specified in the gas network connection contract. As part of this stage:
  • we will choose a company to design and build a gas network on our behalf.
  • Our contractor:
    • will agree with you the place to install the gas cabinet, develop a gas network construction design, and acquire administrative permits,
    • will build the gas network and gas connection, and install the gas cabinet,
    • will carry out a leak test of the gas network, passed inspection for quality assurance, and make a geodetic inventory of the network,
  • A notification that the gas network is ready for natural gas supply and an invoice for the connection fee will be sent to you via the Connection Portal. You can download all documents in PDF format or print them out.

This stage takes approximately 6 months, but this period is longer if a gas main must be built. The precise date of connection can be found in the gas network connection contract.

Meanwhile, you:
  • choose a licensed company to design and build a gas system in your home,
  • Your contractor:
    • will prepare a construction design for the gas system and acquire a building permit or submit a notification of construction work,
    • will build the gas system and install the gas equipment (e.g., boiler or oven),
    • will perform a leak test of the gas system (the test result will be confirmed in the report), conduct a geodetic inventory of the underground portion of this system and report the intent to use it to a construction supervisory body (if required),
  • your chimney must pass an inspection, confirming that the exhaust and ventilation ducts in your home are free from obstruction.
Important:
  • The gas system contractor must be a person with valid license for gas systems. These powers are issued by the qualification committees of the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers.
  • Any construction or expansion of the gas system requires technical documentation to be prepared and a construction permit or notification of construction work to be obtained (if a building permit is not required and a notification is).
  • Building permits or notifications of construction work are issued by the local architectural and construction administration body.
  • The construction of the gas system may begin after a legally valid building permit is received or, in the case of notification of construction work, provided that there are no objections from the administrative authority within 21 days of submitting the notification (according to the principle of tacit consent).
  • The new gas system should comply with:
    • the approved gas system construction design,
    • a chimney assessment (if required),
    • the requirements for connecting to the gas network which were issued,
    • the consent of the property manager or owner (in the case of multi-family buildings), and
    • the permit for building or extending the gas system (if required).

If you want to know more about the terms of connection, ask a question in the chat or use the Contact Form. We will answer all your questions.

The time needed for the connection depends on many factors, particularly the extent to which the gas network must be expanded for the connection. It is determined for each case individually and initially given in the conditions for connecting to the gas network.

A detailed connection schedule is specified in the gas network connection contract. If you want to find out about the possible date of connecting your property, submit a free application for specifying the conditions for connecting to the gas network.

The indoor installation should be built and checked before the date for connecting to the gas network. A detailed connection schedule is specified in the gas network connection contract.

This is in line with the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of April 12, 2002 on Technical Requirements That Should Be Met by Buildings and their Location (Journal of Laws 02.75.690 dated June 15, 2002, as amended). This solution is dictated by, e.g., safety and ensuring the continuity of the fuel gas supply service we provide. Access to the measurement system also allows the gas meter to be read without having to enter your property.

We provide a standard gas meter cabinet which is included in the connection fee. You may, in consultation with us, buy and install a cabinet on your own. You will receive a discount for the connection fee. The billing details will be included in the contract for connecting to the gas network.

The alphabetical list of gas suppliers with whom we have contracts for the provision of fuel gas distribution is available here. The list is kept up-to-date.

To start the supply of fuel gas, you must deliver the Report on Readiness for Fuel Gas Filling. You can deliver the application to us by mail or in person (at our units or your chosen gas supplier). The list of our units is available here.

Within 14 days of receiving an order from your gas supplier (Single Distribution Order), we will contact you to arrange a convenient date for installing the gas meter—once we have verified the following.
  • Orders to start gas deliveries (Single Distribution Order [SDO]) sent to us by your gas supplier and
  • The Report on Readiness for Fuel Gas Filling that you have provided or sent to us through a gas dealer.

The commencement of gas fuel supplies includes:
  • installing a measurement system with a gas meter and
  • filling the gas system with gas fuel.
On the arranged day, you (or your representative) must await the installation of the gas meter. The presence of an adult is required to sign the Gas Meter Installation Form.

It is worth remembering that, in order to maintain the guarantee of gas consumers, the manufacturer often requires the first commissioning to be done by authorized representatives. Take this into account when planning and arranging with us the start date of fuel gas supply.

From then on, you can use the gas in accordance with the comprehensive gas supply contract you signed with your gas supplier.
