Strategy of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa 2016–2022

Polska Spółka Gazownictwa Sp. z o.o. is the largest company in PGNiG Group. It employs over 11,500 employees, operates throughout Poland, and distributes gas through over 190,000 km of gas pipelines. 

Pursuant to the set of agreements signed between the company’s Management Board and the Social Party, later approved by the company’s corporate bodies, a new strategy for PSG’s operations is being implemented. This means a major reconstruction of the gas distribution model in Poland.

We deliver fuel gas in a continuous, safe, and environmentally friendly manner.

The mission of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa

The new Vision assumes that Polska Spółka Gazownictwa will become the National Operator of the Gas Distribution System under PGNiG Group and will take on the following functions:

  • implementing the energy policy of the Polish government
  • arranging the gas system
  • developing gas distribution infrastructure
  • participating in spatial development planning
  • leveling societal differences
  • cooperating with central and local government administrations
  • stimulating the economy
  • cooperating with emergency services at the central and local levels

The strategy of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa was based on the Balanced Scorecard methodology. Our strategic goals concern four perspectives and are expressed in the form of a roadmap.



Thanks to this strategy, Polska Spółka Gazownictwa will achieve the following results in individual perspectives in 2022:


The result of these actions will be an increase in the company’s goodwil expressed in cumulative values.
