PSG: We want to compress and transport biomethane
Soon, the first biogas plant will be connected to the grid at the Gasworks Branch in Wrocław. The major obstacle in creating new ones is the lack of a financial support system. PSG also sees another problem related to network capacity.
"Most biogas plants are located in places in Poland where either there is no adequately developed distribution network, or we have a group of customers in a given area for whom the amount of gas taken from the Gaz-System network is sufficient. Today, we are looking for solutions that will allow us to pump the produced methane to places in Poland where our customers' needs are greater. Together with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, we agree on the initial conditions of the program, thanks to which we will be able to compress methane in biogas plants and transport it to other places in Poland," summed up Jakub Kowalski.
